Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born the 18th of November 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix displayed an early talent to play sports while studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She discovered her sprinting talent at that moment. After just 10 weeks of her initial attempt, she was second in the 200 meter race in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003, Felix graduated from high school and signed a professional deal with the company that makes sports Adidas prior to matriculating at the University of Southern California where she was studying elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for running 200m. The following year, she won the title against her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was a regular competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She was consistently within the top three places of every event.
