Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18th 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister in Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix was an athletically inclined child and developed a passion for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt she was ranked within the top two places at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix finished her high school year in 2003 and became a part of Adidas an agreement as a professional athlete. The following year she attended University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix received her first Olympic medal at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the shortest woman ever to take home the 200 meters race. In 2007 she defended that title, beating her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top third of each event she competed in at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
